The Treatment

No fasting or special measures are necessary prior to a first treatment. Following a detailed medical consultation which includes a nutritional and lifestyle assessment, the individual's health concerns and objectives are discussed. Then the treatment begins. A small disposable speculum is inserted into the rectum. This is connected to a water inlet and a waste outlet. Ultra-pure filtered water at a carefully regulated temperature is introduced under gentle gravitational pressure. As the water flows into the colon, gentle massage techniques facilitate the removal of impacted waste matter. The nurse gradually works around the colon until the caecum is reached. Herbal infusions, probiotics, wheatgrass are instilled where appropriate to further cleanse and nourish the bowel. The evacuation tube is viewed by the nurse, which enables the identification of certain disorders of a compromised digestive system, such as dysbiosis and fermentation. The treatment takes approximately 1 hour and 15 minutes for the first treatment and consultation, and 1 hour for subsequent treatments. All equipment is single use and disposable.

Benefits of Colon Hydrotherapy

The goal is to achieve a healthy digestive system through colon hydrotherapy, nutrition, naturopathy, lifestyle changes and herbal medicines. The aim is to enable the individual to achieve 2-3 normal bowel movements daily, reduce bloating and flatulence, and improve overall health and well being. The benefits of colon therapy can often be observed throughout the body in the form of clearer skin, more energy and mental clarity, fewer headaches, with circulatory, immune and weight problems often improving.

Frequency of Treatment

The number of treatments required depends on the individual case. This may vary from only one treatment to a number spread out over a period of time, after which preventative or maintenance treatments are used, on occasion, to achieve optimum colon health.

Treatment Includes:

Comprehensive medical assessment

Nutritional analysis and dietary advice

Herbal infusions, probiotic and wheatgrass implants where appropriate

Herbal medicines may be prescribed between treatments to optimise cleansing

I was on holiday in France and had a lot of phlegm and sinus congestion over there. After flying home my ears felt blocked and wouldn't pop. My doctor gave me antibiotics for a couple of weeks, but they didn't work. He sent me to a specialist who was going to operate and unblock them. My wife suggested I see Ciara. Ciara told me to cut out dairy and wheat and gave me herbs to drink. My ears popped after a few days and the paint went. I cancelled the operation and I've been feeling great ever since.

I've been treated by Ciara in her Apothecary over the last 5 months for eczema that broke out on my face after having cleared up for a year through changing my diet. I was quite stressed and Ciara took as much care of my emotional as well as physical symptoms. She advise me on diet, prescribed herbs and was very supportive. My skin has completely cleared up.

Oh my god they're fab! I have been taking two every night and they are absolutely brilliant! It's worked like a trick, have been doing all the other bit you recommended too and it's completely sorted out the bloating and distension and constipation. It's made a massive difference, I only realised this morning actually that my stomach hasn't been distended in tha past few days in a row which is practically unheard of. Thank you so much, they are amazing.

We had been trying for three years to conceive and I had started taking clomid a few months beforehand to which I reacted to. A friend recommended I have a consultation with Ciara. Within four months I was pregnant and had a healthy baby boy!

When we decided to try for baby number two, we conceived within two months of starting on Ciara's herbal medicines. I cannot recommend her enough, the herbs are easy to take and inexpensive. Thanks to Ciara we have a happy healthy family.
